Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg

We went to hear Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg perform in concert with Sergio and Odair Assad (brothers).  This was an A++ experience.  She is a wonderful violinist, and the brothers Assad are wonderful guitar players.

Most of the music was arranged by Sergio Assad, and he wrote the
opening "Gypsy Songs".  They played music by J.S. Back, A. Piazzolla,
A. Ginastera, Clarice Assad, B. Bartok, and Charlie Chaplin.  I didn't
know Chaplin wrote music, but when they played the medley the songs
were familiar.  (The encore was "Dueling Banjos".)

I kept thinking to myself during the performance that I am so lucky to live in a university town where I can hear world class musicians.
